No village in Iceland has had to endure as much ridicule as Raufarhöfn, and you might be able to see why with this footage from 3 visits, which also includes footage from a dual 90th birthday party I was invited to around the same time I was gathering material for this video.
It remains to be seen whether I will be invited to a party in this area again after this production, though I feel I've been fair, sticking to my usual storytelling style despite my personal connection to this village, which I actually love visiting. I've never experienced anything other than kindness around here and I believe they will find their own identity someday.
