This time a kind of sidetracked just barley on topic video. I have had severalt Chip testers and programmers during the years. And I must say that in general I am very satisfied with my XGecu TL866II Plus USB programmer. OK it could have had better support for old UVeproms with strange and demanding voltage requirements, but apart from that this the only issues I have had with it is regarding the logic testing feature. This is not a main function, but it is a nice add on, and I have had some bad chips test OK, but this is the first case where a good chip has tested bad. The 7406 and 7416 chips consistent test bad. These chips are used on a lot of retro tech, and users that has just basic understanding of electronics might have thrown away good chips because of this. In this video I go in dept on the issue, and suggest an easy solution that will make the fix at least halfway. #TTL #RetroComputer #TL866II
