Armed with some coaching from a couple of experienced luthiers, I tackled the improbable task of trying to flatten the original top. I was cautioned all along that it might prove impossible, but IF I could salvage the original wood, the result would be worth it. The original SOUND of the guitar resides in that 50 year old wood.
Herein are glimpses of the first few weeks of the project.
