Everyone says you can’t make real Indian food without a tandoor oven.

With Chef Akshay Bhardwaj (of NYC’s Junoon and JaaNu), we recreated authentic Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan, at home, without any restaurant gear.

This is the true Delhi-style Butter Chicken, made the way Chef Manish Mehrotra from Indian Accent taught Akshay. Along the way we talk about how Chicken Tikka Masala became Britain’s “national dish,” what makes real Butter Chicken different, and why it deserves way more respect than it gets.

And for the record… once you learn to make this sauce, there’s no going back to takeout.
