#NewMusicFriday: After four decades, ABBA finally released a new studio album today. Fans have been waiting for this for years. We’ve put this video together to make this special occasion in music history. I remember I discovered the Swedish band when I was browsing in a now-closed HMV and ‘Thank You for the Music’ was played. I immediately fell in love with the tune and soon found out who ABBA were. They have since become one of my favourite groups. I was sad to learn that they separated in 1982. But in 2021, we got a brand new album from them – how amazing is that! As we all know, the famous ABBA songs were made into the musical Mamma Mia, which has been running in the West End for more than two decades, and two films. Today, we celebrate the music of ABBA with this group of performers from around the world as they bring you this rendition of ‘Thank You for the Music’.
