Thailand and Cambodia have been fighting over a stretch of contested border. Shot have been fired. Bombs have been dropped. Missiles have been launched. Hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced. Hundreds of people have been injured. And many people have died!
Thankfully, there have been peace talks between Hun Manet, the Cambodian Prime Minister, and the newly appointed acting Prime Minister of Thailand, Phumtham Wechayachaia. A ceasefire has been called, and if all goes according to plan, things will be getting back to normal in Cambodia and Thailand.
But why did this happen? How did it come to this?
