It can be so frustrating sometimes not being able to find the right products. But when this happens, it gives me an opportunity to experiment, which is one of my favorite things to do with my art!
I recently saw @ingtasy use Vallejo Pearl Medium to create her pearl mix for a reverse flower dip, and since I can't get my hands on the product I normally use, I decided to give it a try! And it WORKS! I used a slightly different recipe because she also used a ready-to-pour paint...
Here's my recipe:
Custom pouring medium: Equal parts American Floetrol and Vallejo Pearl Medium
3 parts pouring medium x 1 part Amsterdam Titanium White x water to thin.
For this first experiment, I also used some craft paint from Chromacryl. The next experiment will be to see if I can get the same reaction with a higher quality paint. Stay tuned!
If you'd like to learn to create Reverse Flower Dips - come paint with me at Fluid Art Experience!
