Former Mountie and then deejay, Terry David Mulligan was the first host of CBC Vancouver's GOOD ROCKIN' TONITE, Canada's first rock video series. Here we have collected his introductions to 36 videos (deleted) as he covers the British rock scene from the arrival of the Beatles to 20 years later. GRT was introduced in the Vancouver market in late 1983 as a live simulcast Saturday night series. With its instant success, GRT was picked up by the full network and quickly grabbed 26 percent of the 12 to 17 year old audience in the late night time slot. The popularity mushroomed again and GRT was seen twice a week on Thursdays and Fridays at 11:27pm. Mulligan left GRT in 1985 for a more lucrative offer with MuchMusic. If you're a fan of TDM or into the early history of British rock, this one's for you.
