Tenebrae was a Finnish Doom/Death Metal band formed in Helsinki, 1991. They recorded their first two demos "Salvation" and "This Divine Flesh of Ours" in 1992. In 1994 they released their first EP "Sick Spinning Wheel" through MMI label. At the same year they also recoded a promo tape "Trancequake" for Spinefarm. Their first full-length "Dysanchelium" later in the year 1994, through Finnish Spinefarm records. The recording and the mixing of "Dysanchelium" had, however, already been done between October 1992 and March 1993 in Purgatory Studios. Their next album "Hypnotech" was released in 1996 through Shiver Records. The album contained songs from their previous demos and the EP "Sick Spinning Wheel". After their second full-length, the band split-up. Members of Tenebrae have since carried on with other seperate band projects such as Twilight Ophera, Soulgrind, Lullacry etc. Also Jussi Latvala ( Roope's brother ) played in Tenebrae during Hypnotech- era
