Paraxism was a Finnish Death metal band, founded in 1990, in Jyväskylä.

The band had a melodic touch in their music all the way from the beginning, but the role of melody and "unconventional" instruments such as electric violin and moog grew stronger along the way, hence the nick name for their musical style "Psychedelic Space-Death" .
