Vacant Coffin is a Finnish Death / Grind band, founded in 2007 in Joensuu. The band released their first demo in 2007, and their debut album in 2008, both under the label of the famous Old-School Death metal - charising label Razorback Records. Their music is basically back-to-basics kind of Death / Grind inspired by bands such as Xysma, Carcass, Entombed, Repulsion and Napalm Death
The band is gathered from the ex- Phlegethon members, which includes Lasse Pyykkö ( also known from bands such as Hooded Menace, Acid Witch and Shrouded )
