This intense, fast-moving attraction propels riders through a roaring torrent of water surrounded by tropical landscapes and volcanic rockwork. Every corner brings new surges of whitewater, creating an adrenaline-filled experience that feels more like rafting than floating. Riders must wear life vests, meet the 42-inch height requirement, and prepare for an unforgettable aquatic adventure. [4K] The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure at Chessington, join us on a magical journey through the deep dark wood as we follow Mouse on a riverboat adventure in the Wild Woods area at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure is a family dark water ride that brings to life the much loved world of The Gruffalo. Located next to the iconic Vampire roller coaster in the Wild Woods area, this gentle river attraction invites guests of all ages to step into the pages of the classic story as boats drift through scenes inspired by the deep dark wood.
Opening in 2017, The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure replaced the legendary Bubbleworks attraction which operated at Chessington for many years. The ride was developed by Merlin Magic Making for Merlin Entertainments and uses digital projection, lighting effects and scent effects to recreate the woodland world of Mouse, Fox, Owl, Snake and the Gruffalo.
The attraction is based on The Gruffalo, the hugely popular 1999 picture book written by English author Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. The story has become one of the best known modern childrens books and has sold millions of copies around the world. The ride also draws inspiration from the 2009 animated television film adaptation of The Gruffalo which brought the characters and story to life on screen.
There are no height restrictions for this attraction, although guests under 1.1m must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 or over, with a maximum of five guests per boat. The ride ends with a small drop and on ride photo before guests exit through the Gruffalo Gift Shop which is shared with the Vampire roller coaster. The shop features Gruffalo themed toys, books, clothing and souvenirs along with merchandise for the Vampire coaster.
Chessington World of Adventures Resort is one of the leading family theme park destinations in the UK, combining rides, a zoo, SEA LIFE aquarium and themed hotels. The park features more than 40 rides and attractions across themed areas including Adventure Point, Wild Woods, Forbidden Kingdom, Shipwreck Coast, Land of the Dragons, Land of the Tiger and the World of Jumanji which opened in 2023 and features the Mandrill Mayhem roller coaster.
Looking ahead to 2026, Chessington is preparing to open a brand new themed land based on paw Patrol. World of Paw Patrol is scheduled to open in Spring 2026 on the site of the former Mexicana and children’s zoo area. The new land will feature attractions including Adventure Bay Rescue Coaster, Marshall’s Fire Engine Rally and Skye’s High Flyer along with themed play areas and character experiences based on the popular PAW Patrol series.
Another future development planned for Chessington is the transformation of the former Wild Asia area into a new immersive land themed to Minecraft known as Minecraft World.

There are no formal height restrictions for Dinosaur Tour Co., although children under 4 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Flash photography is included during the cave section, allowing riders to purchase on ride photos.
Lost Kingdom opened in 2016 and transformed four acres of Paultons Park into a dinosaur themed world. Attractions in the area include Velociraptor, Flight of the Pterosaur, Dino Chase, Boulder Dash, Splash Lagoon, Alive dinosaur meet and greet and The Little Explorers play area. Splash Lagoon, which opened in 2024, further expanded the area and remains an important part of Lost Kingdom’s growing attraction lineup.
Paultons Park is preparing to open its newest major expansion, Valgard: Realm of the Vikings, on 16th May 2026. The Viking themed land is currently under construction and is being built on the former site of the Go Karts, Dragon Roundabout and Magma.
Valgard: Realm of the Vikings will introduce three major attractions including Drakon, the park’s first ever inverting roller coaster built by Gerstlauer, Raven, a family coaster, formally known as Cobra, and Vild Swing, the UK’s first ART Engineering Wild Swing. The land will also include a Viking themed playground known as The Orchard and a Nordic dining hall called the Feasting Hall
Beyond Valgard Realm of the Vikings, Paultons Park continues to expand with its first on site hotel and lodges planned and a major new water ride due to open in 2027 following its announcement at the Paultons Park Super Fan event. These developments reinforce Paultons Park’s position as one of the leading family theme parks in the UK.

Studio Tour London, join us as we explore all three magical stores packed with Harry Potter merchandise including replica wands, Hogwarts clothing, Platform 9¾ souvenirs, collectibles, Chocolate Frogs, Christmas decorations, and much more during the First Year at Hogwarts event.
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter is the perfect place to pick up Wizarding World souvenirs, with three unique shops located throughout the attraction. Join us as we explore the Studio Shop, the Forbidden Forest Shop, and the Railway Shop to discover the huge range of Harry Potter merchandise available during the First Year at Hogwarts event.
The Studio Shop is the largest retail location on the tour and can be visited before entering the Studio Tour from the Hub or after exiting through the Wand Room at the very end of the experience. Shelves are packed with replica wands, Hogwarts robes, house scarves, jewellery, stationery, artwork, homeware, collectibles, books, plush toys, Chocolate Frogs, Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans, clothing, ornaments, and exclusive Wizarding World souvenirs inspired by the Harry Potter films.
Located between the Forbidden Forest and Platform 9¾, the Forbidden Forest Shop specialises in seasonal and limited-edition merchandise that regularly changes throughout the year. During our visit for, the shop was beautifully decorated for Christmas and stocked with festive Harry Potter decorations, gifts, pin badges, notebooks, clothing, and exclusive products not normally found elsewhere on the Studio Tour. We even found a number of fantastic discounts, including Hagrids pink umbrella wand for just £5 and pin badges reduced to only £2 each.
The Railway Shop sits opposite the Hogwarts Express on Platform 9¾ and celebrates one of the most iconic locations from the Harry Potter series. Here guests will find Platform 9¾ and Hogwarts Express themed merchandise including luggage, travel accessories, clothing, homeware, souvenirs, sweets, replica wands, and even the opportunity to create a personalised Hogwarts acceptance letter to take home.
The First Year at Hogwarts event runs from 7th May to 7th September 2026 and celebrates the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. Throughout the Studio Tour, guests can discover original props, costumes, Wizard Chess pieces, Fluffy the three-headed dog, interactive displays, and special experiences inspired by Harry Potters first year at Hogwarts.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter opened in 2012 at Leavesden Studios, where all eight Harry Potter films were produced. The attraction showcases authentic sets, costumes, props, creature effects, and filmmaking secrets from the Wizarding World. Similar Studio Tours can also be found in Tokyo and Hollywood.
Leavesden Studios is also home to the upcoming HBO Harry Potter television series starring Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. The new adaptation is expected to premiere in 2026.

Colorado Boat is a log flume ride located at Gardaland Resort, positioned close to Wolf Legend. Opened in 1985 and manufactured by Mack Rides, Colorado Boat is one of the longest running attractions at Gardaland Park and remains a key water ride within the park’s lineup. The ride features floating log boats that travel along a water channel through themed scenery inspired by the Rocky Mountains, combining outdoor landscapes with multiple drops and water effects.
The ride begins with a steady journey through forested terrain and rocky surroundings before building towards its main drop sections. Riders travel up lift hills before descending down waterfalls, with splashes and water effects forming a central part of the experience. The layout includes multiple drops and turns, with the surrounding theming featuring tall conifer style trees, rugged rockwork and flowing water to create a continuous mountain river setting. The ride is designed to balance scenic sections with moments of sudden descent, creating variation throughout the experience.
Colorado Boat has operated at Gardaland Resort since 1985, making it one of the older attractions within Gardaland Park. Its location next to Wolf Legend places it within an area that combines newer attractions with long standing rides, showing the evolution of the park over time. As a Mack Rides flume ride, Colorado Boat represents a traditional log flume design, focusing on water movement, elevation changes and themed surroundings rather than high speed elements.
Gardaland Resort is one of Europe’s most visited theme park resorts, located near Lake Garda in northern Italy. Gardaland Park features roller coasters such as Raptor, Oblivion The Black Hole, Blue Tornado, Shaman and Mammut, alongside water rides including Fuga da Atlantide and Jungle Rapids, and dark rides such as Jumanji The Adventure and Animal Treasure Island.
The wider Gardaland Resort also includes LEGOLAND Water Park Gardaland and Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium, along with themed accommodation at Gardaland Hotel, Gardaland Adventure Hotel and Gardaland Magic Hotel, creating a multi attraction resort experience in Italy.
