An overtime pay investigation by North Little Rock's former chief financial officer found that in one December pay period nine police officers were paid more than Mayor Terry Hartwick.

The officer at the top of the list grossed $7,067, compared to Hartwick's $5,746. The mayor's annual salary last year was $149,403. The gross income range for the remaining officers was $5,757 to $6,950. The nine officers worked a combined 414 hours of overtime, 164 in off-duty work for outside companies.
