Arkansans gathered in Little Rock's South Main (SoMa) neighborhood on Saturday, February 21, 2026, for the 16th annual SoMardi Gras celebration and parade, featuring live music, food and vendors from across the city. SoMa 501 Executive Director Elizabeth Michael said organizers usually hold the parade the Saturday before Mardi Gras, but moved the 2026 festival to the Saturday after Fat Tuesday to avoid a conflict with Valentine's Day: “This new date gives locals more flexibility and allows regional Mardi Gras lovers, especially those traveling to New Orleans, to celebrate twice.”
