It took almost ten years but I finally found a bottle of Laird's 12 Year in the wild. Come with me while I taste it for the first time.
The Laird family has been distilling apple brandy in New Jersey since 1780, but their history of cider/spirits production goes back to 1698. Lairds bonded is a staple at many craft bars but I rarely see the 12 Year. I always perceived it to be a sort of a luxury pour, and tasting this confirms that. If this video is light on actual tasting notes it's because I was gobsmacked by how good this was against my expectation. It truly rivals the best Calvados I've had. Thanks for watching!
