Tantalum is never fun to deal with because when it shorts and DOESN'T explode you end up with a whole bunch of them running parallel in the same circuit. With the ever dropping price of thermal imaging cameras however using only a current limiting bench supply we can easily isolate the problem capacitor. Let me show you how using this hard drive from an IBM 5150.
