TAMPA, FL. (January 17, 2025) - - Tampa Police detectives, still actively investigating a shooting that occurred on Nov. 8, 2024, are now releasing video of the suspects involved. The incident, which occurred just after 10:30 pm, in the area of Laurel St. and Doyle Carlton Dr., resulted in injuries to a teenage passenger.
At this point, the investigation has revealed that the victim and several other teenagers were traveling westbound on Laurel St. when they encountered a dark-colored sedan occupied by three males, also possibly in their teens.
A verbal altercation between the occupants of both cars escalated when the suspects in the sedan fired shots into the victim's vehicle.
One round struck the victim. Thankfully, his injuries were not life-threatening.
The suspect vehicle appears to be a newer model Toyota Camry, likely dark blue. The shooter was described as a teenager with a "bowl" style haircut.
Tampa Police detectives are now asking the community to take a close look at this video. Anyone with information that could help them identify and locate the individuals is asked to call Tampa Police at 813.231.6130 or contact Crimestoppers of Tampa Bay and refer to report number 24-665698.
