When we saved Winston from slaughter in June 2017, he was the youngest horse we'd ever rescued at 9 months of age. Since then, he's provided months of love and entertainment.
Our neighbor caught this video of Winston after several minutes of watching him swing a stick around at the other horses. He's always pestering and playing, keeping them young and on their toes.
Swingin' D Horse Rescue saves horses from the slaughter pipeline, nurses them back to health, trains them and adopts them to responsible owners. Our herd fluctuates between five and nine geldings (depending on how long it takes to adopt out rescued horses) and the older guys teach Winston how to be a horse.
