Chance was in such bad shape when we picked him up from the kill pen in Stroud, Okla., we feared we'd have to immediately humanely euthanize him. We went straight from the kill pen to the vet with that fear burning in the back of our minds.
Happily, the horse we named Chance keeps surprising us at every turn. Not only did he completely recover, we learned that he's beautifully trained, well behaved, and fast as lightning.
How anyone could throw away such a beautiful creature, we'll never understand; but we're grateful Chance came into our lives. We look forward to finding an adopter who sees in Chance what we see - an amazing creature who loves life at the Swingin' D.
