This is my 'sayonara' to Xillia 1, and I thought to do this with a redux of my Leia run. This run, though called a 'speed run' doesn't necessarily mean I trying to get the fast time; just means that battles will be over quickly.
*steps on soapbox*
The general idea is this: Leia is a fairly limited melee character in comparison to her peers(Al, Mil, Jude), however the disadvantages of her lack of artes are not as much of a blight as people think. It was my wholehearted goal to emphasize this in my initial run. Against bosses, Leia's aerial artes Rabid Lunge(against a boss in counterattack phase) and Crescent Flash are akin to Jude's Palm Strike; possibly stronger if Sky Soldier(+25%dmg, -25%TP consumption) is used. Most importantly, all 10 of her artes have their uses, but my lack of experience in early portions of the run led to sub-standard gameplay. Still, I feel that, because of her limited # of artes, seeing the small amount of combos at her disposal for a long period of time makes a drag to watch. Since I was redoing the final battle by using Exel's gald-farming trick, I figured it was a good time to go through and do everything over again while revisiting the story before X2 released. *steps off soapbox*
So this is it. Everything I've learned by hard work and training, as well as watching how others approached bosses and tactics they use, I put into this run.
Obviously 2x Dmg/ 3x Crit is used. I used herbs to up my P.Atk and A.Atk to about 5000(because I was killing the first bosses in 12 secs when I maxed it out, lol), and maxed it out after Nacht/ before The Chim battle(cause they were kicking my arse). No armors, no Last Stand skill, no 30+ lv Iron Stance, no *elem* Guard skills, none of that(I did have an E.Circlet eqp on the Chim battle, though I didn't need it). Last boss, of course, is the exception. Battles will be quick. Leia is an aerial character, so I won't be holding back from attacking from high-in-the-sky if necessary. Same with Soulspin spam(expect a lot of that).

If only seraphs had their armatization artes instead of Sorey.....
I only gave myself 1 day on this(last evening to this evening); Im sure I could have done better, like adding Trigger artes for example. There are fundamental aspects about fighting bosses(1vs1 anyways) that I dont quite understand, as well as controlling my quick-steps and keeping track of what arte tier Im on, but I had my fun...time to move on.
Not even thinking of trying to solo this game =01....
Itd be nice if I got to see some of the other seraphim; I only know how to play with Edna =01.
edit: A grown man has answered that call =03

![Tales of Berseria: Rokurou [Velvet]
2x Enemy HP/Atk/A.Atk/Focus
Enemy Movement Speed = 660(same as Velvet) if initially less than 660
Enemy Attack-Wait Time = 0
100% Enemy Status Effect Efficacy
Quickstep Distance = 1.3x normal(same as Zestirias Longer Step)(works for enemies too)
Chaos Mode
Bought everything in Grade Shop(except 1/2 EXP)
Just a random fight; felt like doing one and thought he was a fun choice to start with. He actually couldnt damage me, so I had to make a code so he could deal enough damage to actually kill me. His Mirage Dance threw me for a loop for a while, because it has a deceptive hitbox, and it seemed like it out-prioritizes a number of Velvets moves. Got around that, and it was only a matter of time before he went down. I would have liked to see what he can do at 50% and below, but it was fun while it lasted =03.
And I could swear he cheated at 1:17. Guarded mid-attack to avoid me =01.

![Tales of Zestiria: Lunarre ~ Female Assassin [Rotational Solo]
Might as well publicize this before it gets buried under Berseria english demo videos D0=....
I said the Master-class Arena would be the last Zesty video, but I digress...after that altercation with losing to Meebo, I finally felt interested in doing a solo; the speed of battle w/o the stutter frames(arte pausing) + the extra 20% in the distance of the quick-steps makes control somewhat of a dream =03. I took a page from TopTierAction/Viktor Forslund and used a different character for each battle. I dislike stealing ideas but doing this really kept things fresh(been there, done that with Pascal...it gets repetitive after a while =01).
Some things to note about these battles:
No Arte Pause
Enemy Attack-Wait time = 0
Quickstep Distance Up from 1.3x(due to Longer Step Battle Action) to 1.6x
Enemy Movement Speed Up by 1.5x ~ 2.5x normal
No stagger skills(Sordzmin, Knyte, Paladeen) or stagger codes used
Code to charge martial artes backwards(charges forward for Sorey 2nd battle)
Notes on individual battles in comment section.

Too much INT... too much petrification, even though Judes INT is only 2100. This could have been done better =01.... Tales of Xillia 2: Bisley [Jude] [No PC2/3]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ehTaSqxxRGY/mqdefault.jpg)
![Tales of Xillia 2: Shadow Julius [Leia]
Hes a bit different than normal Julius. He has a different weakness(slash) and more resistances(earth, dark, light). He also has Iron Stance this time, but that doesnt matter since I break it in one go anyway. He doesnt have a non-OVL air counter either until 50%HP, where then he can use Falling Snow and Azure Edge. Not really much to say about him than that. I lost a few times, sure, but I just started playing the game last week after Zestiria, so I was pretty sloppy. Many of these battles boils down to it being a battle of attrition anyway.
Ill only be doing the ones I can do, which are pretty much limited to the slave Shadows. The main Shadows Ive faced so far seem deal too much damage and receive too little damage, all the while gaining special high-level skills that keep the battle in their favor(like Damage Reflect =01).
random side note: How long has it been since Ive seen Juliuss MA in full? Wondering if Ive ever seen the full version.... Tales of Xillia 2: Shadow Julius [Leia]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/eoLQLRpAbXg/mqdefault.jpg)
![Freeform Asbel - Tales of Graces f
updated one for rpcs v14-11605
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ba3OTmJh2Vg
A short combo exhibition using various codes. The intention is to see a glimpse of the possibilities if Asbel played more similarly to the Zestiria and Berseria systems. Sadly, given the [long amount of] time spent on this, I could never figure out how the game determined when to use the secondary version of the B-arte. I know the game keeps the values of the last 4 artes used in memory, and does some kind of comparison between the one you just used and the last
one recorded in memory, but cant pinpoint exactly when and in what form does the check happen. This is the reason you can only use it on the second B-arte to activate it, as that was the only workaround I could think of. Not that people care about the technical details, but felt like mentioning it anyway.
Codes used here are:
- Quick-step increments A-arte level(e.g. Zesty/Bersy)
- Sheath/Draw mechanic removed
- B-artes increment A-arte level
- 2nd B-arte used is its extension(alpha)
- 50% CC cost cut
- Boss stagger time reduction = 0
- Boss weight reduced from Massive to Normal
