From Main Chapter 10.
Odin isn't all that hard, but he is resistant to the basic 4 elements, so Elemental Impulse is a must if I want to actually attack him, since many of Leia's good artes have those elemental properties. After the 50% HP mark, he'll gain two spells(Spark Cascade and something-Meteor), both which pose little threat. He also enables Null Field, which practically nullifies all damage, unless he uses Thunder Fang. During Thunder Fang's recovery animation, he is vulnerable to all elements for that brief moment in time; an opportune moment to attack and start a weakness combo.
His only real dangerous attacks are a frame-1(i.e. attack happens on the first couple of frames) normal attack where the tip of his dualblade spins, and, after the 50% mark, a non-arte that casts an electric field on specified spaces on the battlefield, which is also a frame-1 attack. Got screwed on the latter far too often, so soon as he hits 50%, I hold guard to provoke him into using Thunder Fang, then wrap it up.

You made the wrooong decision......
What brother? Judes slower in X2 D0=???
Too much INT... too much petrification, even though Judes INT is only 2100. This could have been done better =01.... Tales of Xillia 2: Bisley [Jude] [No PC2/3]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ehTaSqxxRGY/mqdefault.jpg)

Hes a bit different than normal Julius. He has a different weakness(slash) and more resistances(earth, dark, light). He also has Iron Stance this time, but that doesnt matter since I break it in one go anyway. He doesnt have a non-OVL air counter either until 50%HP, where then he can use Falling Snow and Azure Edge. Not really much to say about him than that. I lost a few times, sure, but I just started playing the game last week after Zestiria, so I was pretty sloppy. Many of these battles boils down to it being a battle of attrition anyway.
Ill only be doing the ones I can do, which are pretty much limited to the slave Shadows. The main Shadows Ive faced so far seem deal too much damage and receive too little damage, all the while gaining special high-level skills that keep the battle in their favor(like Damage Reflect =01).
random side note: How long has it been since Ive seen Juliuss MA in full? Wondering if Ive ever seen the full version.... Tales of Xillia 2: Shadow Julius [Leia]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/eoLQLRpAbXg/mqdefault.jpg)

A short combo exhibition using various codes. The intention is to see a glimpse of the possibilities if Asbel played more similarly to the Zestiria and Berseria systems. Sadly, given the [long amount of] time spent on this, I could never figure out how the game determined when to use the secondary version of the B-arte. I know the game keeps the values of the last 4 artes used in memory, and does some kind of comparison between the one you just used and the last
one recorded in memory, but cant pinpoint exactly when and in what form does the check happen. This is the reason you can only use it on the second B-arte to activate it, as that was the only workaround I could think of. Not that people care about the technical details, but felt like mentioning it anyway.
Codes used here are:
- Quick-step increments A-arte level(e.g. Zesty/Bersy)
- Sheath/Draw mechanic removed
- B-artes increment A-arte level
- 2nd B-arte used is its extension(alpha)
- 50% CC cost cut
- Boss stagger time reduction = 0
- Boss weight reduced from Massive to Normal

![Tales of Xillia 2: Victor [Ludger] [No PC2/3]
vs Victor(Jakkun): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzxgEkZAoyE
Daddy wants to have some fun-time with Elle and her mother. Elle doesnt want that; she wants Daddy to belong only to her. Ludger wants to take Elle from Daddy. Daddy is not pleased; he pwns Velvet, Judelize, and Roweia(well, not really Roweia; that was Luds fault), and then a battle of epic proportions takes place.
I put no weakness so you know what to expect. No cool combos or sweet antics or none of that good stuff you see from other Ludgers.
I wanted to do this for a long time(and only this) but I didnt even know how to attack with Ludger. My Leia-based Victor file was useless. I wanted it to be fair; but unlike the Jude one where I save-hacked stats/skills and such, I didnt want to cheat with it. Therefore, I started a NG+ with 99 normal+blue herbs and 10x exp(not that it matters since EXP scales). Along the way, Id learn how to combo with Luds(Wingul), then practice his aerials(Muzet). Still, while I knew the basics of comboing, it took me a while to learn how to fight(i.e. X1 style) as Luds. The result is this. After a good while, I didnt even need the Alliance Arms. Yeah he still gets cheap-comboedx2, but he can still kill you quick; Id spit in his eye if itd help me win.
That beginning part....well, it looked a lot cooler in my head than when I finished it, but since I put in the effort, I just let it stay there.
Throwing a nod to Rem and yuuxi; watching their recent aerial-based videos gave me some extra ideas when I was stuck keeping him in the air and some attacks on the ground. Thanks m(_ _)m. Tales of Xillia 2: Victor [Ludger] [No PC2/3]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/g_KGJhyUcyQ/mqdefault.jpg)

![Tales of Xillia 2: Chronos 3 [Jude] [No PC2/3]
That cape tho......
Last half is kinda wonky; he got paralyzed, which prevented a counter. No counter, no lockdown. Paralyze, if it takes effect, can mess up my rhythm and cause him to attack out-of-turn, so that part looked pretty sloppy.
You can see his backsteps are on point. As I said with Luds, he will dodge pretty much everything that doesnt have a lingering hitbox, resulting in a Time Stop. Demon Fang prevents him from successfully backstepping it.
Two things(actually three) are unusual in this video, not counting editing the Chromatus transformation out. Guesses?
