Casually played this boss. Didn't care too much about it being perfect; I just wanna enjoy the fight =03.
Nothing much needs to be said about the boss; she's easy peasy, having weaknesses that favor Leia. Something I learned from X1 is that Soaring Vortex will always prevent me from getting hit from any of her attacks, as long as its activated before she reaches me, which is why it's used a lot. She can still kill me though if I get too careless(took a couple of tries since I was still getting used to the game again).

Not much to say here. Bosses were defeated rather smoothly compared to Ivar. Got lucky that Agria was summoning in the first battle when Presa stunned me(getting drilled once = dead), but the battle wasnt so hard it couldnt be duplicated =0.")

First, let me explain an unfortunate unintended glitch(not really glitch as it is doing what its supposed to do) of Runic Shield, since this is very annoying when a combo is effectively dropped because of this. If the aselia wiki is to be believed, RS effectively reduces all damage to 5%. You dont need to guard for this to take effect, you only need to be inside the shield. However, if you happen to be inside the shield and do nothing, an enemy attack will cause you to auto-guard. Nothing wrong with that, right? Now lets say some tenacious enemy is attacking Pascal while casting inside RS. Once the spell is cast, if that enemy is attacking Pascal, depending on what frame to attack happens to hit on will put her in auto-guard status, effectively cancelling all cast time reduction and start the A-arte chain over. Most of the time, you cant see it, because if there are 30 frames/sec, frame 1 = spell cast; frame 2~3 = enemy attacking; frame 4~5 = press button for next arte, so it just looks like it reset by itself. So in the future, if you see my cast time drop all of a sudden, during some spells, you know why. Its not just limited to spells either, as you may see two 1CC A-artes in a row while in RS at some point. One such example is at 1:08, when the GentleEel riverdances and suddenly, my cast time is slower, despite using three A-artes beforehand in that combo. Most times I just cancel the cast, but occasionally, I may just use it and start another A-arte chain afterwards.
That out of the way, not much to say about these battles. They dont do much damage individually, but overtime, itll add up. Cryas artes seem to really hurt her though. For the Gentleman battle, I focus on the Gentlemen, since his Nova Lightning and Icicle attack causes me to get the tar beat out of me. For the Sisters, Fourier is the man target, since you cannot perfect dodge any of her attacks, and Death Sentence will break your guard even if you block, so its a guaranteed hit for her Aside from that, just playing like usual; no fine-tuning tactics or anything, just me playing casually.
Kinda had reservations of uploading the rest that I had, but despite the quality of some of the battles, and lack of motivation from using the same arte chains, I am going to do so anyway.")

The final battle. Its kinda what started it all. To be honest, I thought my first uploaded attempt to be meh at best. The time it took me to defeat them was 12 mins, where my peers where averaging under 10 mins(or 20 mins for those who didnt use 2x dmg). I never really considered this a contest or some notion of whos better or anything, but I felt that this fact emphasized the fact that Leia was lacking in melee in comparison to Al, Jude, Milla, even though this battle should be the last thing I use to gauge any type of abilities between characters. Thus I knew that Id have to work a bit harder to achieve the results I wanted.
Nothing really needs to be said about these two that havent already been said to death already =0. Unlike my previous attempt, I put Leia as the last entrance; no interruptions, no using other characters as bait. Instead of going after Muzet, I go after Gaius because (a) I wanted to be brazen instead of attacking Muzet in desperation and (b) when linked person A gets hit, linked person B takes 1/4 the damage, so because of the large differences in their HP, Muzet will eventually die. I hold nothing back, and use any tactic that will work, regardless of whether I think its cheap or not.
And thats all folks =03. I appreciate any and all who took a moment out of their time to gander a look at my gameplay. I hope that those who only saw Leia as an item-using tool will consider her innate potential, if not in this game, surely the next. Nevertheless, see you guys in Xillia 2 (^,^ )!")

Fight with one of the bosses in Battle Mode in the demo.
This is Chaos mode, acquired through means of CE of course. However, other than that, and a code to remove the arte pause, no other cheats were used; no hacked weapons, stats, skills, etc; everything was acquired by going through the level.
This boss is pretty tough, but still manageable with some skill and a little luck. I start the battle with using the MAs because the party will eventually die, losing all of their BG, so might as well get free damage. Unfortunately in this take, it wasnt nearly as smooth(usually can just MA, swap char, take 1 fwd step, attack, MA again) but eh, whatre you gonna do =02? I use Magilous swap attack to steal Dryads infinite-A.Def buff, then swap Laphi back in; Geostigma and Kalaidos Ray can deal weakness dmg, plus KR has long animation that locks him in. After that, its simply play good with Rokurou(good being used loosely =0b). If I knockdown the boss with the counter, and Eizen has more than 3 Souls, Ill switch to him and do his BS for a bit of extra damage. For Vel, its just MA, then spam BS ( )...
His normals, Mow Down, Freeze Lancer, Air Thrust, Gravity Well, and Hell Gate are simple for me to avoid or counter(and fortunately the AI is pretty good at not dying), but his Grave is extremely quick; it casts in 23 frames and the attack itself hits on the 33rd frame(i.e. it hits in half of a second) which makes it fairly difficult to dodge on reaction. He generally uses it to counter casters too and does well over a 1000+ dmg unguarded/650+ dmg guarded, making this battle much more difficult than it should be =01.
Hopefully as I get used to the battle system, Ill be comfortable enough to use multiple characters and avoid relying on single-direction moves ( )...

Frederic(Cherias Guardian) is not a tough battle at all. He doesnt hit that hard, except for his Super Demon Fang, and maybe his Megasonic Thrust and Burial Blade, so its just slowly whittling him down til he dies. Im only missing Slow weakness, so I try to compensate by using Spread and Maelstrom, which you can tell that it was a strategy far from perfected ( )... Really, because of the lack of a Retry button, Im less inclined to go through the motions to get to these bosses, so the quality of the ZC battles may notably be less.
I hate the enemies on the 3rd floor(4000 EVA and practically infinite amounts of Iron Stance) so after losing my first 2 times to Amber, I just ran straight into battle, instead of fighting to lower the Enemy Str counter.
My only strat for Amber was to stick with low-level spells in-between A artes, since she has good mobility and Iron Stance during her long attack combo. Lately, Ive been really fond of Trinity Bit against close-and-short ranged foes. Mostly Pyrogenic Ring when outside my cryas range. She doesnt get dangerous until she starts tossing Crimson Discs, Infernal Torrents, and Rising Phoenixes, where most can inflict the Burn status and leave you stunned for her to follow up with something else, if youre unlucky. Fortunately, her defenses are on the low side, so it wasnt super hard for me to defeat her before she defeated me.
Unrelated note, I dont know why these videos dont look as clean as my Xillia ones, esp during spells; so much pixelation. Gotta get rid of this Hauppauge Capture crap and find something else )=0[")

Not a hard boss. Long startup times make avoiding his attacks easy, but yknow, I like dem perfect dodges =03. Missed an input close to the end that caused me to stammer a bit, since I was on autopilot I guess, but eh, Ill take it nonetheless =03.
Zaveids not bad, but aside from Constrictor, he doesnt really have any mobility on his artes. This wasnt a problem in Zesty, because Eterniti skill allowed you to dash/step around as long as you had SC =01. He also doesnt have a Down arte, which is a boon because he would be best played as Eizen for wind cast time reduction skills(something I supposedly fixed afterward). Still enjoyed putting him through a good test =03.... or so Id like to think. I did not properly set him up; all his artes have 0 uses, so no arte-count-based title benefits. If theres ever a next time, he will get a proper setup to take advantage of arte-count-based Title skills.
