The boss fights in this stage are made quite a bit easier due to being underwater, which makes dodging attacks easier for a variety of reasons. The actual boss fight incorporates lots of lingering bullets and massive melee attacks to keep the pressure on, though. Despite that I'd say Ikarin is probably the easiest boss in the game anyway.
