Swirl How, Great Carrs and Grey Friar, from Coniston - The Hard Way! I initially intended to do these three Fells, my final three in the Coniston Valley, from the Three Shires Stone about a 4 mile hike but I got invited by @daveostlemountainman to do a collaboration and he suggested a more 'gentle' way, from Coniston to 'make it easy on myself'. A tough 11 mile hike followed, in awful morning conditions but the sun came out for an afternoon pint in Coniston when we finally finished.
