The Eisbach is a two-kilometer (1.2 mile) long, man-made river that flows through Englischer Garten in Munich, Germany. At a spot where the river spits out from beneath a bridge, the rapidly flowing water is forced into a wave. The river is icy cold and shallow, thus only for experienced surfers. Surfing in landlocked Munich! Who would have thought?
