Super-Duper El Niño and Bigger Problem of Greatly Accelerating Global Warming: James Hansen’s Latest
This years El Nino on top of accelerating global warming is wreaking havoc on our planet, and is getting much worse, according to the latest article posted by James Hansen at Columbia University.
I chat about what is happening, and why it is happening. The amount of sunlight absorbed by the Earth is increasing significantly as the Earth is getting darker (lower albedo). Thus, the Earth Energy Imbalance (EEI) is greatly increasing and has in fact doubled over the last decade.
Out planet is warming, and the warming is spiraling upwards and is out of control.

Abstract.
The ongoing El Nino is already the strongest in the modern record. However,
increasing global climate anomalies, poleward shifting of climate zones, increased rainfall
extremes, more rapid flash droughts and fires, and marine heat waves are a result of
accelerating human-made global warming. The abnormal El Nino strength is itself likely
human-driven. Our graphs are continually updated on our website. We are on Substack.
