The Arduino traffic light project is a great way to introduce yourself to how an Arduino works. In this tutorial, we will build a straightforward circuit and some code to bring it to life.

As mentioned above, this project is excellent for beginners and newcomers to the Arduino.
This project's equipment list is small, and you can pick up everything relatively cheap. You can always add more LEDs to this project, but we will use the three-light system. (Red, Yellow, and green.)
• Arduino Uno
• Red, Yellow, and green LED
• 3 x 100 Ohm resistors (Colour = Brown Black Brown)
• 4 Breadboard wires
• Breadboard
The circuit we will be setting up is dead easy and won't take too long. There is a simple diagram on the website that makes building the circuit easy.
The code we will be writing to run our lights is straightforward and will introduce you to some very basic concepts on the Arduino. It is important to take note of these concepts as we will be using these a lot more in future projects.
