The mammoth #ProjectTilt APT has finally been completed for @realworldtrains9937 and has rolled out of the Neville Grove Weathering Studio.
But this full length 14 coach Hornby APT-P has received so much more than just weathering. The interiors have been repainted and then detailed using the superb @CheshireLines kit that replicates the famous tartan upholstery of the seats on the real train, and even includes the servery back bar details for each buffet car.
The capacitors have been relocated from the cabins to where they are concealed underneath the seating.
The couplings between all non-articulated vehicles have been swapped out for @WestHillWagonWorks "Hunt" magnetic couplings. Not only do these look better, but they are also more reliable and far more convenient than those supplied with the model.
Finally, drivers have been added along with correctly uniformed buffet car staff and passengers who have boarded for the ride!
The footage for this #short was taken from the very first few test runs on the Neville Grove layout. Hours later the train could be seen at full tilt along the West Coast Mainline in the form of Pete Waterman's "Making Tracks 2" at Chester Cathedral.
