Hey everyone! Day 7 of our Knit-A-Thon we have a granny square with a wagon wheel in the middle. When I first saw this stitch I knew I had to show you guys. I really like this one and it was fun to make in honor of Nation Crochet Month. Whats your favorite granny square to make?

Boye Aluminum Crochet Hook size H/8 (5mm)
Caron Simply Soft Yarn in Orchid
Special Stitch:
CL (3-hdc Puff) [Yo and draw up a lp] 3 times in same sp, yo and draw through all 7 lps on hook.
Instructions:
Ch 5 and join with sl st in first ch to form ring.
Rnd 1 (RS) Ch 5 (counts as 1 tr and ch 1), [1 tr, ch 1] 11 times in ring. Join with sl st in 4th ch of beg ch-5 - 12 tr.
Rnd 2 [CL, Ch 1} twice in first ch-1 sp, *[CL, ch 1] twice in next ch-1 sp; rep from * around. Join with sl st to top of first puff st - 24 puff sts.
Rnd 3 Sl st in first ch-1 sp, ch 6 (counts as 1 tr and ch 2), 1 tr in same sp - first corner, *ch 1, 1 dc in next ch-1 sp, [ch 1, 1 hdc in next ch-1 sp] 3 times, ch 1, 1 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1**, (1 tr, ch 2, 1 tr) in next corner ch-1 sp; rep from * twice more, then from * to ** once. Join with sl st in 4th ch of beg ch-6. Fasten off.

Hey everyone! Julys Hat of The Month is inspired by The Little Mermaid, Ariel. This wave pattern and turquoise color make it a perfect summer hat. You can also use a lighter, cooler yarn if you want it more hot weather friendly. Hope you guys like this one!

Clover Bamboo 16 circular & double pointed needle size 6 (4mm)
Loops & Threads Snuggly Wuggly Yarn in Dark Turquoise (5 oz, 446 yrds, #3 light, 100% acrylic) 1 ball
Stitch Marker

Gauge:
18 sts - 25 rows = 4 in stockinette stitch

Instructions:
Cast on 99 sts
Work a garter st border for 5 rows. While working in the round you will start by purling your first row, then switch to knit. Repeat for 5 rows.
Increase Row: *K11, M1; rep from * around - 108 sts
Wave Pattern Stitch: (multiples of 18 sts)
Rows 1-4: Knit
Row 5: *P2tog (3 times), [K1, YO] then repeat 5 more times, P2tog (3 times); rep from * around.
Row 6: Knit
Repeat Rows 1 through 6 to form pattern.
NOTE: When moving from a YO to a Purl st, double yarn over to lock your YO on your needle
Repeat pattern till hat measures 7 from cast on edge.
Crown Decreases:
Rnd 1: *K16, K2tog; rep from * to last 17 sts, K15, K2tog
Rnd 2 and all even rnds: Knit
Rnd 3: *K15, K2tog; rep from * around to last 16 sts, K16
Rnd 5: *K14, K2tog; rep from * around
Rnd 7: *K13, K2tog; rep from * around
Rnd 9: *K12, K2tog; rep from * around
Rnd 11: *K11, K2tog, rep from * around
Rnd 13: *K10, K2tog: rep from * around
Rnd 15: *K9, K2tog; rep from * around
Rnd 17: *K8, K2tog; rep from * around - 54 sts
Rnd 19: *K2tog; rep from * around - 27 sts
Rnd 20: *k2tog; rep from * around, K1 - 14 sts
Cut yarn, pull top of hat tight. Weave in ends and enjoy!
