In this video, I recreate a hard-surface goblet shown in Substance 3D Modeler tutoral — but using HardCuts hardcuts.io

The original demo from Adobe focuses on building the shape using simple primitives and sculpting workflows. I take the same idea and try to achieve a similar result inside HardCuts using its boolean-based approach.

This is not about proving one tool is better than the other. Instead, it’s about comparing workflows, speed, and simplicity when creating the same object.

Along the way, I also show an early version of the new HardCuts asset explorer and how it fits into the workflow.

If you’re interested in hard-surface modeling, booleans, and fast blockout techniques, this should give you a good idea of how HardCuts performs in a real scenario.
