In this Subnautica 2 tutorial and showcase, I test what happens when you hit, smack, or shoot different fish and creatures after the EA Patch 1.1 Adaptive Measures update.
Patch 1.1 changed how many creatures react when attacked or stunned. Most smaller and larger fish now flinch when hit with the Survival Multi-Tool, and many of them can also be briefly stunned when shot with the Sonic Resonator. So in this video, I go through Subnautica 2 and test each kind of fish and creature to show exactly what happens when you hit them, shoot them, or try to stun them.
The Survival Multi-Tool now causes most normal fish and creatures to react with a quick flinch or defensive movement. The Sonic Resonator is even more interesting because it can briefly stun many creatures, giving them a dizzy state and stopping them from immediately reacting like they did before. This can make certain encounters feel different, especially when you are testing creature behavior, trying to avoid attacks, or just seeing how the new Patch 1.1 creature reaction system works.
There is one major exception: massive leviathan class creatures do not appear to react the same way. When you try to smack or shoot the biggest leviathan-level animals, they basically ignore it. No flinch, no useful stun, no dramatic reaction. Just a massive sea monster silently judging your life choices.
In this video, I test the Survival Multi-Tool and Sonic Resonator on fish across the game, including small fish, larger creatures, hostile wildlife, passive wildlife, and leviathan class animals. The goal is to show what changed in Subnautica 2 EA Patch 1.1 and demonstrate which creatures flinch, which creatures get stunned, and which ones do not care at all.
If you are curious about Subnautica 2 creature behavior, Patch 1.1 fish reactions, Survival Multi-Tool attacks, Sonic Resonator stuns, leviathan reactions, fish flinching, animal stun testing, or what happens when you hit every fish in Subnautica 2, this video shows the results.
Thanks for watching.
