Since the day I hauled this Baby Dozer from it's grave, I haven't been able to turn it to the left. It's time to figure out WHAT is causing this and see if we can get that fixed!

This thing SAT for over 25+ years without ANY attention at all, and it's finally time to give it a little attention. It REALLY is amazing how many things can go wrong with a machine JUST because it's left outside and NOT ever used. That's the case on this little Baby Bulldozer!
This is my 1970's Caterpillar D3 LGP Bulldozer with a 6 way blade and wide tracks. It's powered by a Caterpillar 3204 diesel engine, and the machine is in fairly good shape considering it's lack of care over the last decade and a half, but it does have some major issues!
So sit back, relax, and join me as we dive into my little bulldozer and start getting this machine back to usable condition so we can save it from the scrap yard and put it back to work after ALL these years!

28:29 - Jacking the Tracks OFF the Ground
30:11 - Testing the Steering Clutches & Steering Brakes
35:29 - Properly Tensioning the Steering Brake Band
28:15 - Making Gaskets for the Brake Adjustment Cover Plates
40:30 - Testing the Track Brakes after Adjustment
44:10 - Pulling it Outside to Test the Steering... IT WORKS!
46:17 - Talking About Other Issues & What we've Accomplished!
