We finally got my Caterpillar D3 named Alester out of the shop and back in the dirt! But on the FIRST day we found MAJOR problems!

The plan today is to figure out what's wrong with the transmission, and see if it's an EASY fix or not! Let's hope the transmission doesn't have to come out again to fix it!

This is my 1970's Caterpillar D3 LGP Bulldozer named "Alester"... It has a 6 way blade, wide tracks, and is powered by a Caterpillar 3204 diesel engine. The machine is in fairly good shape considering it's lack of care over the last decade and a half, but it does have some major issues that we're working through one step at a time!
