Having compressed air where I need it throughout my shop has ALWAYS been a struggle. So I decided to change that!

In this video, I will show you how I professionally installed compressed air lines throughout Salvage Workshop. Then I built a custom shelf for this old Shark to live from here forward!

The compressor is bolted to the custom shelf and is sitting on rubber isolation pads to cut down on any vibration when it's running! This is for both safety and to cut down on the noise.

I used 3/4" black pipe for the airline system. This decision was mainly because this was the most affordable way to go for an airline system of this size, but it was also one of the more time consuming options.

I decided on 5 different areas I wanted to have compressed air and so I installed a drop at each of those locations. Each drop has a ball valve with a union so I can shut off the air, and easily make changes to each location if & when I decide to.

The compressor is a Saylor Beall 705 attached to a 120 gallon tank being powered by a 5hp Single Phase electric motor made be AJAX. I added another 120 gallon tank to the system so that I have a total of 240 gallons of air available at any time!

I have plans to restore the other compressor in the previous video, the Champion R-15 compressor, and add it into the system at some point!

I have plans to add additional air pressure regulators at each drop, an automatic water drain system for the tank, and a few hose reels as I'm able to afford to do so!

I got all the parts needed to restore this compressor from Pacific Air Compressors.
