This morning something interesting happened outside. There were loose hens in the neighborhood, and a stranger cat (who looked well fed and had a collar) laid down, hissed and growled at our outdoor cat! We had to convince him to leave with a broom so nobody got hurt. I’m curious why the stranger cat laid down. I wonder if he was just feeling greedy and bold, thinking he can just make this place his own and scare us all away…
Then the loose chickens returned. It was my first time seeing chickens roaming the neighborhood, and probably our cat’s too, though he didn’t seem too concerned about the odd new animals intruding on his territory.
