3.846.500 mhz a strange noise was moving across our
conversation about every 10 minutes I did not time the interval it may have been a longer or shorter interval .
for some stations it was very loud interferance and could easily be seen as a PIP slowly moving down in frequency on the spectrum scope of my Icom 7300 Radio . It is illegal to transmit strong signals like this on any radio band . I got to thinking about this and long ago one of the Hams NOEL W9EFL I think his call was who is deceased
told us it was a RF energy heating device used in a factory and sometimes the employees did not even close the door on the device HOLY COW THINK HUGE MICROWAVE OVEN this is not microwaves but is actually heating things at lower frequencies and high levels of RF or Radio Frequency radiation. But like microwaves this is dangerous the FCC has set limits for RF radiation and this operation probably exceeds their limits by a huge factor . Well Today it was back I wonder if it is the same company and the same device is being used. Some of the stations in the group a group we call a " roundtable " were in locations around southern Michigan some were in Illinois and some in Indiana some of these stations are hundreds of miles apart so this device must be radiating an extremely strong signal
to be causing interferance that far away and certainly is a hazard for workers in that factory being exposed to such high levels of RF radiation . SO I made this video in the hopes that someone will see this video who knows about this situation and who it is will notify the factory to correct this problem not because it interferes with radio communications but because someone at a factory somewhere is being exposed to very high levels of radio frequency radiation .
