The Heathkit IP-2715 is a rugged well built power supply and a good one for general use for operating or on the workbench .
the IP-2715 is a linear type with a big power transformer ,big filter capacitors , 4 large pass transistors and a big heat sink on each side . Transformer power supplies are normally noise free causing no interference on nearby radio receivers like some switching power supplies . This one in my opinion is quite conservatively rated at 20 Amps intermittent service . I encountered one problem with this power supply which I show in the video . 73 Bob
