This is PART 2 not PART 3 as I said in the video there is no part 3 my goof . Heathkit AR-2 assembled and operating on outside antenna an 80 meter dipole . Great old receiver . Heathkit AR-2 receiver. The AR-2 kit was Heathkits general coverage communications receiver in the 1950's this one has two tubes in it dated 1954 .In the operating manual it says Covering 550KC to 35 MC however in modern times we say 550 KHZ to 35 MHZ it has a bandspread tuning adjustment , bfo,noise limiter ,RF gain control, and the Ham bands are marked on the dial so they can be found more easily . This receiver is very sensitive and easy to use It does require an outdoor antenna for best reception . The AR-2 is almost identical to the AR-3 in appearance and performance in fact I think I called it an AR-3 in one of the videos by mistake due to the fact that the AR-2 is a scarce item and I have worked on many AR-3 receivers .
