North Carolina communities are still reeling from the damage and heavy flooding left behind by tropical storm Helene with hundreds of roads closed in the state, complicating the delivery of badly needed supplies.

Hundreds of thousands of customers are reported to be without power in the state.

At least 160 deaths in six southeastern states have been attributed to the storm and hundreds of people are still unaccounted for.
