Hurricane Milton, which has caused days of anxiety and a massive evacuation effort, is on track to make landfall in Florida on Wednesday night.
The storm is expected to slam into the Tampa Bay area, which is home to about 3.2 million people.
More than 62,000 Canadians also live in Florida, with many of them concentrated along the Gulf Coast. Numerous flights bound for Tampa, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale have now been cancelled.
