A rare red 'danger to life' wind warning was issued by the Met Office for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, where a wind gust of 99mph was recorded on Thursday evening. The winds caused significant damage and disruption.
Elsewhere, heavy snow caused travel disruption and school closures across Wales and the Midlands. Scotland and Northern Ireland weren't impacted by Storm Goretti, but are still feeling the ongoing effects from snow that has fallen over the past week.
