This is Typhoon Doksuri, known as Typhoon Egay in the Philippines, as seen from space. The typhoon has sustained winds around 140mph and is expected to make landfall in southeast China during Thursday night. It will bring up to 500mm to parts of Taiwan and the Philippines as it passes by, with flooding and landslides likely.
