This reel is a short passage from my soon to be released book, The Great Play - Awakening from the Illusion of Seperation.
The story of Adam and Eve can be read as a story about identity.
They didnāt actually lose their union with the Earth.
They didnāt become separated from God.
They simply lost sight of what had always been true.
Before the fruit, there was nakedness without shame. No separation between self and other, sacred and ordinary, God and creation. There was simply Being.
Then came the knowledge of good and evilāthe divided mind.
Suddenly there was me and you.
Inside and outside.
Good and bad.
Worthy and unworthy.
God up thereā¦and humanity down here.
Nothing had actually separated.
Only their perception had changed.
Maybe the āfallā wasnāt humanity being thrown out of union with God.
Maybe it was humanity beginning to believe we were separate from God.
And perhaps awakening isnāt about finding our way back to Eden.
Itās realizing we never actually left.
The separation was in the mind.
The union has always been here. šļø
The more you awaken, the more you play.
