Ashley Beasley Green, Ph.D., learned by exploring her interests that she wanted to work at the intersection of biology and chemistry. As a senior scientist at NIST, she specializes in taking precise measurements of the components in biological samples for clinical applications. Notably, she has helped develop a new urine reference material to increase the accuracy of kidney disease monitoring.

In recognition for her outstanding promise as a mid-career chemical researcher, Dr. Green is the recipient of a Rising Star Award from the ACS Women Chemists Committee. She is being honored for this achievement at ACS Spring 2025, a meeting of the American Chemical Society.
