In 1976 I made a solo visit to Pakistan to travel behind steam. I traveled on the weekly Sunday only mixed train on the spectacular Khyber Pass to Landi Kotal near the Afghan border. The train was top & tailed by two class SGS 0-6-0 steam locomotives. During the journey the tender of the leading locomotive de-railed several times.
