Part 2 of 4 re-uploaded videos shot in China in 2009. Material not previously included has been added. The re-edited video has cleaned up audio, improved stability, better resolution and longer sequences.
This video shows activity in the open-cast coal mine and ends with a few shots of coal unloaded at the washery at Xuanmeichang. Trains work ‘push-pull’ with a small guards hut at the end with semaphore arms on the roof to signal the loco driver. As the mining progresses track is relayed within the pit by a steam crane mounted on a PW train.
