The once common EMD standard cab, used to dominate the mainlines of North America. In modern times, it is quiet challenging to capture a standard cab locomotive, or ANY older EMD leading the way. We'll take a look at the trains along the Willmar toward Minneapolis, and Northtown Yard line, and see them along the main!
In this video, we'll see a number of trains on the Willmar Line from Willmar, MN towards Minneapolis where Northtown Yard is located. While the focus is on standard cabs, we'll see other classic EMDs such as GP60s leading the way. Things begin at night with a former Super Fleet GP60M leading a WLMNTW to Northtown under rainy skies. After this, we'll see a CSXT SD70MAC, followed by GP38-2s, and a green SD40-2 leading the way! Its great to see power like this STLL holding on with class ones in 2024.
