At long last...

It's finally here...

The grand finale of Splatoon 3...

*THE GRAND FESTIVAL!*

As soon as this started, your hubs of Splatsville, Inkopolis Plaza, and Inkopolis Square are replaced by the venue of the Grand Festival, all within the desert that was seen out of this game from the very beginning: The Grand Splatlands Grounds!

A lot of fans have gathered here to see Squid Sisters of Team Past, Off the Hook of Team Present, and Deep Cut of Team Future perform all of their different songs in a timely rotation of three different stages. They move on and off of these stages by teleporting with thick smoke or steam.

These aren't just songs you've heard throughout Splatfest battles and concerts, but they're also based on their holographic real life performances. You can really see it with how the idols will move and dance!

Your Inkling/Octoling has new emotes while exploring the grounds, four of them, to be exact, and they're all really happy and CUTE! You can even let them get sprayed in multicolored ink, and it'll stay on you. Let you Woomy or Veemo enjoy their time, here!

Several others characters can be found here running their own huts or enjoying the idols perform. Such as Murch OR Spyke, the dehydrated Cuttlefish right next to DJ Octavio (if you beat Hero Mode), and even Acht! (If you beat Side Order.)

You won't find your usual shops of other characters here, though, such as the ones that Sheldon and Harmony run. You'll still need to select them from the menu, either on your own or by going to the huge travel bus that your kid took to get to these grounds.

Because the Grand Splatlands Grounds will be your main hub that contains all three idol groups, the only other places you'll be able to go to are either back to Alterna or into the Order Sector from Side Order.

This is only the start of the Grand Festival. More fun stuff to come later through the weekend.

Now onto the matches!

Only Match 9 is a Mirror Match. How did I even get one here?!

As far as battles go, the one bonus that the Grand Festival provides is that Tricolor Battles are playable from the very start, and for now, every stage that had Tricolor Battles will be brought back in a timely rotation of their own, just like with ordinary Open and Pro Turf War matches (FINALLY!)

Another quirk is that you're gonna be hearing Splatfest battle themes from all three games, and even the victory and loss themes will be across different games, as well. Each idol group even gets to sing their own version of "Now or Never" again in the last minute of the match.

Remember that in Tricolor, this time, if you're Attacking to claim an Ultra Signal, you're gonna get a quote from more than one member of the idol group. It may not be as effective if you teamed with Deep Cut, but I'm sure those that sided with Squid Sisters or Off the Hook must feel elated seeing their girls cheer them on!

The premiere Tricolor stage that was defended during a Big Run, the Grand Splatlands Bowl, will be available later through this event!

Last, but not least, as you can see, yes, I did picked Team Future. The best future is the one that you work towards, yourself, rather than what others try to set upon. It is not preordained! If you can help it, you CAN change the future!
