World 5 of this game is called the Aesthetic World, and it definitely shows.
A lot of this game up to this point reminded me of Ristar, but this world confirmed to me that this game is also inspired by Pulseman. I can see it through this level's background effects and music, and I just continue to see the Pulseman influence through the rest of this whole world.
One gimmick introduced here is making magic pens draw a path for "Dolores" to use. She can stand on them as well as still bounce from them and even still stand upside-down with them.
There are several NPCs here, called Visitors that have a very abstract way of talking. One of them that doesn't is actually along one of those magic pen paths, and talking to that one will make them regale to you a VERY long story of their past...
...A story so long that your pen path will be gone by the time you're done reading it. I didn't really have a way to avoid dying off the bottom past this, but it wasn't really a bother, anyway. I have gotten too many lives out of this game for my own good.
