I know this is another non-gameplay video, but it's such an important one that it deserves to have its own dedicated video.

From 8/31 to 11/30 is the 2024 Drizzle Season.
But more importantly, a new Splatfest is on the way, and whether or not it ends up being the final one in Splatoon 3, it's sure definitely going to feel like one!
It's a Splatfest that asks what timeframe you value more: Past, Present, or Future? What makes this Splatfest so special is that there is going to be a Grand Festival in a brand new place dedicated to this Splatfest: The Grand Splatlands Bowl!
Another special thing about this Splatfest is also the biggest deal with it: All three sides will be lead and represented by a different idol group throughout the whole series up to this point!
To specify...
The Squid Sisters from Splatoon 1, Callie & Marie, will lead Team Past!
Off the Hook from Splatoon 2, Pearl & Marina, will lead Team Present!
And then that means Splatoon 3's very own Deep Cut, Shiver, Frye & Big Man, will represent Team Future!
And I gotta say, this fits each of every one of them if you’ve paid attention to their personalities and back histories! A lot of fans were wondering if such a huge Splatfest would either involve different timeframes, or "pitting" the idol groups against each other. Looks like we're getting both at the same time!
This Splatfest is going to last 72 whole hours!

And then... that's not even the end of it.
One week before this Grand Festival, another Big Run is gonna happen... right at the Grand Splatlands Bowl, itself! Those Salmonids are either very clever, or very heartless!
A humongous Golden Egg quota of 700,000,000 is to be fulfilled across ALL players, and if this is accomplished in time, Scale rewards will be passed out to everyone!

To go along with the Grand Festival, I've seen news of Squid Sisters and Off the Hook getting new Amiibo. For Callie & Marie, they're based on their outfits in Alterna, while for Pearl & Marina, they're based on their outfits in Side Order. This will allow you to give you Inkling or Octoling their same outfits, too.
Speaking of outfits, Nintendo Switch News also has downloads for special head gear based on what all three idol groups will eventually wear during the Grand Festival, as well as special Heavy-Duty gear for your Salmon Run shifts to prepare for the (I'll say) GRAND Big Run.
For now, I'm gonna capture my time with how this Big Run turns out, and contribute to the 700,000,000 Golden Egg quota that it demands for for a good Scale prize, which is gonna start less than a day from this publish!
